Mary Dombrowski began her career in marketing, working in product management for Lightolier (a $500million commercial residential lighting company) and Rolodex (the business card wheel) before finding her passion in media. She has worked in marketing and finance positions for publishing companies Time Inc. and Conde Nast, including Marketing Manger with Sports Illustrated, Advertising Revenue Manager for TIME magazine, Finance Director for Architectural Digest and Vice President of Marketing for the Retail Sales Division of Time Warner (a staff of 30+ people with over $150mm in net income). In Chicago, her interests moved to the nonprofit sector first as Business Manager at Kartemquin, where she successfully transitioned the company from a for profit entity to a nonprofit. She is currently the Director of Operations at See3 Communications, a Chicago-based firm that creates online media strategies for nonprofit firms.
Dombrowski holds a BS in Marketing from Drexel University in Philadelphia and an MBA in Business and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Outside interests include working with Planned Parenthood Chicago and PEAK, a mentor program for at-risk high school students.
The deadline for Summer internships at Kartemquin has passed. Applications are currently being accepted for the Fall.
