Keep Talking follows four Alaska Native women attempting to save Kodiak Alutiiq, an endangered language spoken by less than forty remaining fluent Native Elders. With their small community they travel to a remote Island where they attempt to teach kids Alutiiq. Sadie, an at-risk young teen, is inspired to begin learning the language and dances of her ancestors. Despite battling personal demons and the continuing impact of historical trauma, they find the strength to persevere through troublesome years via the joy of exploring their language and heritage. Keep Talking is a story of culture, language, community and ultimately, hope.
