The Interrupters had a great weekend at True/False Film Festival in Missouri, recieving rave reviews and two standing ovations from full-house crowds in the 1200 seat Missouri Theater.
The film was this years recipient of the festival's True Life Fund, a fund started in order to offer tangible and meaningful assistance to the real-life subjects of a new film. Along with the True Life Fund, the festival also featured the True Life Run, a 5k run/walk through downtown Columbia. Proceeds from the run were donated to the True Life Fund.
See other photos from the event, as well as photos from the rest of the festival at the True/False Facebook page. You can also watch a video from True/False featuring Co-producer Zak Piper, and violence interrupters Cobe Williams and Ameena Matthews.
