We want to offer our deep thanks for the generous support we received in response to our year-end appeal from Kartemquin's Executive Director Justine Nagan. In just the last couple of weeks of 2012, we received a total of $15,135 from 60 donors; we really could not be more grateful for the continued backing you give our work.
In 2013, we hope to complete and release at least 5 new documentaries (a KTQ record - and it could turn out to be even more!) and 3 new DVDs; will mentor our first ever group of Diverse Voices in Docs filmmakers; guide 3 sets of talented internship groups; host over 12 KTQ Labs: Feedback Screenings, including a new edition of last year's popular Spring Showcase; continue our educational work in classrooms across Chicago; and keep advocating for independent documentary media makers on issues such as ethics and fair use. Plus, some other things we can't tell you about just yet! We could not do any of this without your continued support.
We were especially enthused by how many individuals within the documentary industry and the Chicago area donated. We feel blessed to have such a loving and generous community around us. Thank you.
