Al Jazeera English will re-broadcast the award-winning Saving Mes Aynak worldwide through their Witness program on June 29th. Witness is an inspiring documentary series that brings world issues into focus through compelling human stories.
Saving Mes Aynak is the story of the race against time to save a 5,000-year-old archaeological site in Afghanistan threatened by a Chinese state-owned copper mine. For more information, check out director Brent E. Huffman's introduction here.
The film will also return to Chicago for a screening at the Art Institute of Chicago. Director Brent E. Huffman will be in attendance for the Q&A at the Price Auditorium. Registration will be open in June on the AIC website.
