The Interrupters has been nominated for 2012 Cinema Eye Honors in four categories: Best Direction, Best Production, the Audience Choice Award, and the main prize: the Oustanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking.

The Interrupters director Steve James lead all individual nominees by being included in all four nominations. In more great news for Steve, he will also receive a Maysles Brothers Lifetime Achievement Award in Documentary this November at the 2011 St. Louis International Film Festival. Steve will also show The Interrupters at 1pm on November 13th, and at 6pm the same day present Stevie and discuss his career with documentary filmmaker and critic AJ Schnack.
