Xan Aranda, the director of Mormon Movie is offering fans an innovative way to support the production of her in-progress film - just by watching her first documentary, the acclaimed Andrew Bird: Fever Year.
Premiering at the 2011 New York Film Festival (and being a KTQ Labs graduate before that), Fever Year has since played over at over 70 festivals worldwide (and counting), winning five awards and critical praise. But, due to the wishes of its mercurial, enigmatic musician star, the film will never be made available in theaters, or on DVD or digital VOD. However, over on the Fever Year blog, Xan is offering fans the opportunity host a private home screening of Andrew Bird: Fever Year for a handful of friends, just by making a $75 tax-deductible donation toward production of Mormon Movie.
If you are a fan of Andrew Bird, or just want to support independent film, send Xan an email to Mormon Movie at GMail dot com for more details.
Production continues on Mormon Movie in 2013, following a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year. Upcoming events are also planned for Chicago this coming February and April. Keep up with all the film's news via the Mormon Movie newsletter or on Facebook and Twitter.
